Quinta do Morgado, located on the outskirts of Tavira on the sunny Algarve coast, offers the perfect combination of comfort and natural beauty. Our spacious and bright apartments are just a 20-minute walk from Tavira’s historic town center and beautiful beaches. With peaceful surroundings, lush gardens, and a relaxed atmosphere, Quinta do Morgado is the ideal choice for both short and long stays.

This is where PT Golf’s journey began. Since 2008, we have welcomed guests to this charming establishment, and it remains the heart of our operations. Our service office is also located here, making your stay especially smooth – particularly for first-time visitors.

At Quinta do Morgado, you’ll find two large outdoor swimming pools (though not heated in winter), a restaurant serving both local and international delicacies, and the popular bar “Burken,” with a cozy outdoor terrace. Right next to the complex, you’ll also find the well-stocked Mini Preço grocery store, which has a fresh meat and fish counter as well as a bakery.

Quinta do Morgado is perfectly located for exploring Tavira and the surrounding areas. The town’s charming old quarter is just a 20-minute walk away, and a short boat ride will take you to the stunning Ilha de Tavira, known for its white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters.

Our apartments, with 1 or 2 bedrooms, are designed to offer a comfortable stay with everything you need – from well-equipped kitchens and spacious living rooms to free Wi-Fi and TV. A number of apartments also have terraces with direct access to the pool area. The complex is regularly renovated to maintain a high standard, with great care taken to preserve its welcoming, homely atmosphere.

SINGLE GOLFERS:

For single travelers we offer accommodation in our own apartment at a very favorable price. The apartment has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room and well-equipped kitchen for self-catering. Every season we have a large number of single travelers at Morgado, which provides opportunities for many new contacts and golf friends. Our single golfers are of course especially welcome to participate in our competitions and are drawn for games with new and old acquaintances.

Tavira’s market hall is fantastic with freshly caught fish, local butchers and locally grown fruit & vegetables. The promenade along the river is very pleasant and lined with small cafes and restaurants for all tastes. Enjoy a drink of your choice along the river’s edge and watch the Gilão River – which empties into the Atlantic Ocean here – rise and fall with the tides.

On the third Saturday of the month, the town’s market takes place, where you can see and buy everything from live aviation fans to local crafts and, of course, knick-knacks. Don’t miss this event, and especially don’t miss the charcoal-grilled chicken served with salad and wine at the occasional tables set up in the marketplace. An experience!

To the ’home club’ Benamor – where we have daily tee times, weekly competitions and great socializing on the 19th – it’s only 5 minutes. The fantastic twin courses Quinta da Ría and Quinta da Cima can be reached in 10 minutes. Within half an hour you are also at the challenging gem of Quinta do Vale and the bellowing scenic Castro Marim near the border.

On the other side of the bridge over the border river Guadiana are our Spanish courses Isla Canela Old Course, Isla Canela Links, El Rompido and more – all within an hour’s drive from Cabanas.

Our unique Eastern Algarve Voucher includes Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima. Benamor, Castro Marim, Quinta do Vale and our 8 courses in Western Spain. Please note that free golf cart is included in this voucher at the slightly hilly Castro Marim and Quinta do Vale.

Time bookings for your own game are made via email, phone and/or visits to the courses/clubs as well as in the Guest Portal, where pre-booked times are earmarked for PT Golf’s Guests. Registration for our competitions is done in the Guest Portal and several competitions are shared with our Guests on the Spanish side.

In the Guest Portal, 10 rounds (own game and competitions) can be booked from home, while the rest can be booked on site in the Algarve according to the ’play one, book one’ principle. The time booking in the Guest Portal is common to all our Guests in the Eastern Algarve, which provides variety and games together with both new and old friends.
