We have handpicked a number of modern 2 or 3 bedroom apartments – all equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, fully equipped kitchens, spacious living rooms with flat-screen TVs and private bathrooms. All apartments offer panoramic views of the lush surroundings and have access to parking. Nearby is a highly regarded trattoria serving delicious pizzas and pasta dishes.

The complex has both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, perfect for relaxing after a day on the golf course. There is also an indoor gym for those who want to keep fit between rounds. Nearby you will find several of Vilamoura’s best golf courses, popular restaurants, bars, shopping centres and the renowned marina.

When you stay at The Residences Vilamoura, you have some of the Algarve’s most well-maintained golf courses just around the corner. Here you can play on Vilamoura Golf’s courses (formerly Dom Pedro), where each course offers its own character – from open fairways and water hazards to lush forest areas and strategically placed bunkers. The courses are of high international class and offer both challenge and pleasure, regardless of handicap. With the proximity of the accommodation, it is easy to alternate golf days with relaxation, beach life and excursions in the area – a perfect setup for a long stay in the name of golf.

Although we are not in Portugal during the winter months for the beach, it is difficult not to mention the proximity to Falésia beach. It stretches over six kilometers – from Vilamoura in the east to Olhos de Água in the west – and offers a spectacular combination of soft, golden sand dunes and red cliffs that rise dramatically above the sea. It is precisely this contrast – between the blue waters of the Atlantic and the red-burnt rocks – that makes the beach so special.

On a day off from golf, there are plenty of experiences to be had in the surroundings of Vilamoura. Take a trip to the charming small town of Loulé with its Moorish-inspired market hall, medieval town centre and colourful Saturday market. If you want to experience more of the Algarve’s history and architecture, Faro is an excellent day trip – especially the old town centre with its cobbled streets, cathedral and the famous bone chapel in the Carmo Church. Just outside is Estoi, with its pastel-coloured palace and the nearby Roman ruins of Milreu, where ancient mosaics and bathhouses bear witness to the area’s long history. For those seeking the drama of nature, a visit to the Benagil Cave is recommended – a spectacular sea cave that can be reached by kayak or boat. If you prefer a slower pace, head inland to one of the small wineries, such as Quinta da Tôr north of Loulé, where you can sample local wines in beautiful rural surroundings – or stop at an olive oil press and taste your way through the Algarve’s liquid gold.

PT Golf offers several different golf packages and flexible game combinations in the Central Algarve – based on Vilamoura Golf’s highly rated courses (formerly known as Dom Pedro). The packages include, among others, Pinhal, Laguna and Millennium, as well as Vila Sol – a popular course belonging to the Pestana group. For those who want to play even more, there is also the option to include rounds at Pestana’s other five courses in the western Algarve.

For those looking for even more variety, we also offer special packages of five rounds at Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago and Pinheiros Altos. Tee times at Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago and Vilamoura Golf’s courses are booked in advance by our golf hosts. Tee times at Pinheiros Altos and other courses can be booked easily via our Guest Portal where we have pre-booked and earmarked times exclusively for PT Golf guests (you can also book directly with these courses once you are there).

Our competitions in the area are often played at Vila Sol, and registration is easily done via the Guest Portal. You can book up to 10 rounds from home (both private and competitive). Other rounds are booked on site on a play one – book one basis, giving you flexibility and the opportunity to play with both new and old golf friends.

Upon arrival, you will receive your golf vouchers from our on-site golf host, who is also available during your stay to help with bookings, tips and support. Welcome to a comfortable, social and varied game of golf in the heart of the Algarve!
