El Rompido Resort

Well known among European golfers, El Rompido is an incredibly sharp 36-hole facility where the European Tour has been played a number of times. The small village is charming with a large number of nice restaurants, cafes and bars along the small sandy beach in the center of the village. Even the nearby small town of Cartaya (approx. 10 minutes’ drive) has a good range of nice restaurants and cafes and an authentic southern Spanish folk life.

The apartments, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, are recently renovated and refreshed. Our Guests have access to the facility’s indoor pool and gym. There is a restaurant and a small supermarket in the area.

El Rompido is right next to the beautiful and ecologically interesting Doñana nature reserve – one of Europe’s most important places for migrating birds between Europe and Africa – which is definitely worth a visit. The cultural city of Seville – with its fantastic cityscape, its flamenco and countless tapas restaurants considered to be the best in the world – is just under 1½ hours east on a good road (12 miles).

Our unique golf package West Spain – Mixed Golf involves playing ten different golf courses along the Costa de la Luz and into Portugal, of varying character, length and feel. The ’home track’ El Rompido is around the corner and the other tracks are all within a 20-30 minute drive on good roads. As a resident of El Rompido, you can pre-book three start times already from home before the trip.

For games also on our 5 courses in the Eastern Algarve, vouchers can be exchanged (at an additional cost) or purchased from your Golf host!

Time bookings for your own game are made via email, phone and/or visits to the courses/clubs as well as in the Guest Portal, where pre-booked times are earmarked for PT Golf’s Guests. Registration for competitions is done in the Guest Portal and several competitions are shared with our Guests on the Portuguese side.

In the Guest Portal, 10 rounds (own game and competitions) can be booked from home, while the rest can be booked on site in the Algarve according to the ’play one, book one’ principle. The time booking in the Guest Portal is common to all our Guests on the Costa de la Luz, which provides variety and games together with both new and old friends.
