Live in the middle of pleasant Luz, which is located by the sea!

Our very high class and popular accommodation Estrela da Luz – which translated into Swedish means ”Star of Light” – is located near the village’s beautiful church with walking distance down to the beach with all its restaurants, three good grocery stores, bakery and butcher.

At Estrela da Luz, there are one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments and two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments. The apartments are fully equipped for a long stay with a fully equipped kitchen, good Wi-Fi and international TV channels. Our guests have free access to the hotel’s heated indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi and a very well-equipped gym.

The hotel’s own restaurant/bar Hugo Beatty has a popular international tapas menu as well as a games room for settlements after the rounds of golf. Very close to the hotel there is a supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants/cafes/bars, including several takeaway restaurants if the motivation to cook is lacking on any given day.

The village of Luz – often called Praia da Luz due to its proximity to the sea – is convivial and hospitable with permanent residents and tourists in a pleasant mix. Luz has an abundant selection of restaurants, cafes and bars along the promenade and is a very popular destination for residents around the Lagos area. An excursion to Sagres – ”The End of the World” – takes about half an hour and is recommended. This is where people stood in the 15th century and looked out towards the horizon before Vasco da Gama, Magelhão and the other Portuguese navigators conquered the oceans.

The distance from Luz to the nearest golf courses Espiche and Boavista is just under 10 minutes. And don’t miss the all-too-rarely-visited gem Santo António Golf, about a quarter of an hour’s drive west towards the Atlantic.

From the accommodation, you can easily and quickly reach several of the courses in the golf package, and no course is more than three quarters of a mile away by car. They all have their quirks and charms, not only in terms of course layout and scorecards, but also in terms of clubhouse, restaurant and facilities. try around and find just your/your favourites!

Time bookings for your own game are made via email, phone and/or visits to the courses/clubs as well as in the Guest Portal, where pre-booked times are earmarked for PT Golf’s Guests. Registration for our competitions is done in the Guest Portal.

In the Guest Portal, 10 rounds (own game and competitions) can be booked from home, while the rest can be booked on site in the Algarve according to the ’play one, book one’ principle. The time booking in the Guest Portal is common to all our Guests in the Western Algarve, which provides variety and games together with both new and old friends.
