We are pleased to present our handpicked apartments in Punta Candor, a new accommodation option in southwest Spain, close to the popular town of Rota and just a short drive from the historic city of Cádiz.

Punta Candor Apartments offer a prime location that combines proximity to both city and nature. The apartments are just 5 km from Rota’s charming town centre, where you can enjoy the town’s rich culture, local restaurants and cozy shopping streets. In addition, some of the region’s most beautiful beaches, including the popular Punta Candor Beach, are within walking distance – perfect for leisurely walks by the sea. For us golf enthusiasts, Costa Ballena Golf Club, one of the area’s best courses, is just a 10-minute drive away.

The apartments are bright and fully equipped with modern amenities such as a stove, oven, washing machine and dishwasher. Each apartment has two bedrooms and there is access to a parking garage under the buildings. Here you can enjoy comfortable and independent living with proximity to both the beach and golf.

Living on the outskirts of the city gives you the best of both worlds – you can enjoy the city’s pulse at any time, but still have the advantage of living in a quiet and relaxing environment. You have the opportunity to cook your own meals and take care of yourself in a peaceful atmosphere. At the same time, you have quick and easy access to the roads that take you to golf courses and other excursion destinations in the area.

Rota is easily reached in ten minutes by car. The city is known for its rich gastronomy and offers many nice tapas bars and fish restaurants. During the winter months, Rota is a lively and charming city with cobbled streets and small squares, where you can enjoy a glass of “Sherry fino” and a tapas. Cádiz, located about 47 km from Rota, is a historical gem and the oldest continuously inhabited city in Europe. Here you will find picturesque alleys, impressive stone buildings and fascinating historical sights. Don’t miss a visit to Jerez de la Frontera, the hometown of sherry, where you can participate in sherry tastings, explore the old town and see the famous horse show at the Royal Riding School.

The drive to Rota is a nature experience, taking 2½ hours along the Mediterranean coast south to Algeciras and then through the Los Alcornocales National Park over to the Costa de la Luz. The slightly winding and scenic Inland Road through Andalusia’s hilly landscape takes about 3 hours and tempts with a nice coffee break in one of the authentic villages along this route. A little longer to drive from the airport but a wonderful nature experience. The rental car can also be booked for collection and return at Faro airport, the driving time will then be about 4 hours.

Bookings for your own game are made via PT Golf’s Guest Portal where pre-booked tee times are earmarked for our guests.

Alternatively, contact the golf courses/clubs by phone or visit in person. The tee times provide variety and play together with both new and old friends. Competition registration is made in the Guest Portal where you can pre-book up to 10 rounds (your own game and competitions) from home, while the rest are booked on site according to the principle ’play one, book one’.

Upon arrival, you will receive all information regarding golf games and other things from our golf host on site.

After several conversations and long negotiations, we have now concluded an agreement for golf and accommodation with the Los Moriscos golf resort on Playa Granada, located about an hour’s drive east of Malaga airport.

At Los Moriscos we offer accommodation in newly built, modern apartments. They are spacious, bright and have a Nordic style interior. The kitchens are well equipped with a stove (4 rings), oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Each apartment has a large TV in all rooms, a dining area, sofa and practical outdoor furniture. There is central heating/air conditioning and also ceiling fans if the heat should become too intrusive. We have several different apartment types, but in all of them you live with a view of our home course that winds around the area.

Los Moriscos Golf Club offers fantastic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Sierra Nevada. The course is known for its wide fairways and flat terrain, which makes it accessible to players of all levels while being a challenge with varying holes that require the use of all clubs. Here we particularly appreciate the fast-playing greens, the beautiful surroundings and the friendly staff.

From Los Moriscos you are close to both the Mediterranean Sea and the towns of Salobreña and La Caleta, only a six-minute drive away. Salobreña is a charming coastal town with a medieval castle on a cliff and whitewashed houses climbing the hillside. Here you will find a genuine Andalusian atmosphere, as well as everything you need in the form of pharmacies, large and small supermarkets, a market hall, hairdresser and health centre. Next to Salobreña is La Caleta, a smaller town that originated as a fishing village. Here the authentic small-town charm is still preserved, creating a perfect mix of history, culture and relaxing beach life together with Salobreña.

Los Moriscos is also an excellent starting point for excursions to, among other places, the world-famous Alhambra palace in Granada. Why not combine it with a round at Granada Golf Club, located 730 metres above sea level with the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada in the background? Another tip is the Las Alpujarras mountain area on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada, with picturesque villages such as Pampaneira, Bubión and Capileira. Here you will encounter local crafts, fantastic views and nice hiking trails.

We recommend Los Moriscos primarily for those looking for a quiet environment away from the main tourist crowds and who want to take care of your after-golf activities on your own. The accommodation is also perfect for families. Golf clubs are stored in the Los Moriscos clubhouse, where you can also borrow golf carts. The “19th hole” can be found at the Los Moriscos restaurant on the beach, but many golfers also gather at Swing Plaza at the end of the 18th hole.

Your rental car is collected and dropped off at our partner Niza Car at Malaga airport. If you are over 80 years old or turn 80 during your stay, you can instead rent a car through Swedish-owned Bruno Cars. The drive from the airport to Los Moriscos takes about an hour.

Our local assistant will meet you upon arrival, provide you with your game vouchers and help you with all practical information. Tee times for your own rounds can be easily booked via email, telephone, directly at the golf club or in our

Guest Portal where we have reserved tee times for PT Golf guests. This provides the opportunity for both variety and social play with new and old friends.

From Rota to the provincial capital Cádiz it is only about 47 km and you can easily get there with your rental car or by local bus. Cádiz is the oldest city in Europe that has been continuously inhabited since 1100 BC. Cádiz with its picturesque cobblestone streets, stone buildings and historical sites makes Cadiz an obvious excursion destination. Cadiz is one of the world’s oldest sea cities, and it was from here that Columbus began his journey to America. Today, Cadiz has about 120,000 inhabitants.

The old fishing community of Conil de la Frontera is about 45 minutes by car from our new accommodation. In recent years, Conil has become an increasingly popular destination, as it has managed to retain its authentic Spanish village feel.

Booking times for your own game is primarily done via our Guest Portal (or app), where a basic range of starting times is reserved for our guests. It is also possible to book times via email, telephone or directly on site at the courses. Registration for our competitions is always done in the Guest Portal or app. You can book up to 10 rounds – both your own game and competitions – before arrival, while the remaining rounds are booked on site according to the principle ”play one, book one”. The Guest Portal is shared by all our guests in the area, which provides the opportunity for varied games and pleasant fellowship with both new and well-known golf friends.
