Live centrally in the marina within walking distance to central Lagos and the old town with its many cozy and affordable restaurants.
Marina Club is very nice and popular accommodation where the bright, nice apartments have a view of the marina and/or the pool area. Just outside the hotel is the well-known marina and fishing harbor with all kinds of boats. A short walk through the marina and over the small bridge leads to the center of Lagos with all its restaurants, as well as the local fish and meat market which is open every day of the week. A large supermarket is only 150 meters from the Marina Club.
The excursion destinations in the area are many and varied. Cabo San Vincente – where Henry the Navigator (Enrique el Navegante) had his nautical school – is well worth a visit. There are beautiful viewpoints and an interesting museum here. The coast of Vincentina that stretches north from Cabo San Vincente is very scenic and interesting with many smaller fishing villages in a wild marine environment. A nice lunch excursion after golf is suggested to the small pleasant village of Burgau where you eat your lunch down by the beach. Driving time approx. 10 min.
Marina Club has a very nice SPA with indoor pool, large gym and sauna to which PT Golf’s guests have free access during their stay. The apartments are equipped with good Wi-Fi and international TV channels. There is also a good restaurant in the hotel that serves good lunches and dinners every day of the week. The hotel also has a small bar that is open in the evening where guests meet for pleasant socializing.
From Lagos you can easily reach many of the courses in the golf package. Penina, the oldest golf course on the Algarve coast, with 18+9 holes designed by Sir Henry Cotton is pleasant and easy to walk. Palmares, between Lagos and Portimão, is of a very high standard and has sea views on most holes as well as fantastic views from the clubhouse. Espiche is beautifully nestled in nature and the clubhouse has fantastic architecture and serves really good lunch. Boavista is hilly and has a grand clubhouse with a very popular 19th.
Our unique West Algarve – Optional Golf package includes play on a total of 13 different golf courses along the coast, from Santo António in the far west to Vila Sol in Vilamoura.
Time bookings for your own game are made via email, phone and/or visits to the courses/clubs as well as in the Guest Portal, where pre-booked times are earmarked for PT Golf’s Guests. Registration for our competitions is done in the Guest Portal.
In the Guest Portal, 10 rounds (own game and competitions) can be booked from home, while the rest can be booked on site in the Algarve according to the ’play one, book one’ principle. The time booking in the Guest Portal is common to all our Guests in the Western Algarve, which provides variety and games together with both new and old friends.
