How happy we are to have the regular guest classic Vista Marina back in the program! The accommodation has been renovated and upgraded during the ’pandemic break’ and the large bright 1-bedroom apartments now refreshed.

Everything you need for a wonderful longstay visit is here. Vista Marina has been one of our most popular and most affordable accommodations for many years. Many are the guests who return to Vista Marina year after year. The property is beautifully situated where the Arade River meets the Atlantic Ocean and is walking distance along the river to all the restaurants, cafes and bars in the old town of Portimão.

Praia da Rocha beach is known as the Algarve’s finest and widest beach with a wooden decked promenade. The beach, which lies in the lee, is about 10–15 minutes’ walk from the property. A large green area surrounds the hotel’s pool.

All apartments have unobstructed views of the Arade River, the small fishing village of Ferragudo and glimpses of the Atlantic Ocean.

In Portimão there is a lovely market hall (mercado), several department stores and the Aqua shopping centre. On the main street above Praia da Rocha is the well-known ”Casino Algarve” with shows and concerts. Also visit the museum housed in the old sardine factory, which tells about how the work of cleaning and packing this ’national product’ was done.

Vista Marina has very large and bright apartments (83 sqm) with one bedroom, one bathroom, large living room, well-equipped kitchen and large balcony. In the living room there is a nice sitting area with a sofa bed. Wi-Fi and international TV channels are available in the apartments. The kitchen has a washing machine and dishwasher, fridge and freezer and is well suited for a pleasant longstay.

From Portimão you can easily reach many of the courses in the golf package. The closest is the pleasant Alto and classic Penina, both within 15-20 minutes’ drive. Other tracks can be reached within 30-45 minutes by car.

Our unique West Algarve – Optional Golf package includes 15 different golf courses along the coast, from Santo António in the far west to Vila Sol in Vilamoura.

So, with PT Golf you have by far the market’s broadest and best golf package with a total of 15 high-class golf courses for all playing levels and tastes. Long and tough or shorter and more technical. Flat and walkable or hilly and breathtaking. Play on just one or a few courses, or try a new course ”every day”. The possibilities are almost endless!

From the accommodation, you can easily and quickly reach several of the courses in the golf package, and no course is more than three quarters of a mile away by car. They all have their quirks and charms, not only in terms of course layout and scorecards, but also in terms of clubhouse, restaurant and facilities. try around and find just your/your favourites!

Time bookings for your own game are made via email, phone and/or visits to the courses/clubs as well as in the Guest Portal, where pre-booked times are earmarked for PT Golf’s Guests. Registration for our competitions is done in the Guest Portal.

In the Guest Portal, 10 rounds (own game and competitions) can be booked from home, while the rest can be booked on site in the Algarve according to the ’play one, book one’ principle. The time booking in the Guest Portal is common to all our Guests in the Western Algarve, which provides variety and games together with both new and old friends.
