Praia do Sal, Lisbon New!

Very nice accommodation along the river ”Tejo” in the genuine village of Alcochete which is located on the south side of the Rio Tejo which divides Lisbon! The interior is in a Scandinavian style, as is their theme of sustainability. From the airport in Lisbon, you drive over the Vasco da Gama bridge to the accommodation in approx: 25-30 minutes on the toll motorway.

As you know, Lisbon is a very interesting excursion destination and is easily accessible from the accommodation Praia do Sal by local bus directly to the well-known meeting place Oriente Station in Lisbon. From the nearby village of Montijo, there is also a fast Catamaran ferry (20 minutes) directly into the center of Lisbon – good parking at the ferry stop.

Praia do Sal is ideally located in Alcochete within walking distance to the village center and main streets. Around the square and the surrounding neighborhoods there are many cafes and restaurants that are open all year round. Here, the local population mixes with the tourists in a pleasant way.

Praia do Sal is a modern accommodation with a very high standard, interior as well as exterior. The apartments are bright and well equipped for a long stay with fast Wi-Fi, international TV channels and a good kitchen. Praia do Sal has a SPA with indoor pool, gym & sauna as well as a nice outdoor pool area. Down by the harbor there are many good different fish and meat restaurants. The evening walk at sunset, or for that matter the morning jog, along the river is balm for the soul.

The small town of Alcochete is very popular and well known as a picturesque, cozy little village with a calm pace and pleasant folk life. In the square, the local old men sit and drink their ”bica – coffee” and philosophize. Alcochete also has Europe’s largest Outlet, a popular shopping area ”Freeport Lisbon / Alcochete Fashion Outlet” well worth visiting.

In Lisbon there are lots of nice little restaurants and in the small side streets you can always find a nice lunch restaurant at a good price.
The range of museums is large and a visit to the Ocean aquarium at Oriente is an experience. The visit to Praia do Sal in Alcochete is not only golf, but the whole of Lisbon is open to visitors.

From Alcochete you can reach our various golf courses in our golf package on a good road network. The very nice twin courses Riba Golf Oaks and Riba Golf Lakes (where qualification for the European Tour was played) are about 25 minutes’ drive from the property.

Our unique golf package in Lisbon ”Golf of your choice” involves playing on a total of 8 different golf courses in the area, from Riba Golf in the east to as far as Troia in the west. All courses are located south of the river Rio Tejo. It should be noted that when playing on the Troia track, you drive through Setubal where the ferry goes over to the Troia peninsula. Expect a 1 1/2 hour drive from Praia do Sal to the Troia golf course.

Time booking for your own game is done via PT Golf’s Guest Portal, where pre-booked times are earmarked for PT Golf’s Guests. Alternatively by email, phone or personal visit to the courses/clubs. In the Guest Portal, 10 rounds of your own game can be booked from home, while the rest can be booked on site on the ’play one, book one’ principle. The time booking in the Guest Portal is common to all our Guests, which provides variety and games together with both new and old friends.
